I know of a Muslima sister who will marry a Turkish Alevi. I read that the Alevis in Turkey have different beliefs from the Alawis in Syria, who are considered Kuffar. Do I have any advice on this issue?

Sorry for the late reply, as I was travelling so was unable to answer for a while.

I am not aware of the reality of the Turkish Alevi's, so cannot comment upon them. I know that the Alawi's in Syria are Kuffar but I don't know whether they are linked to those in Turkey.

This matter is about the identitification of the reality, you need to find out from trustworthy people about the reality of the Alevi's in Turkey and their beliefs.

Salaam - fantastic blog!

I'm finding it difficult to follow the order of the "comments" section because only the time of the comment is displayed but no date! Please would you change the format so that dates are also displayed.

JazakAllah khair.

Dear Brother, Assalamualikum. We understand that the 'uswa' of prophet Muhammad (PBUH)is the method 2 b followed 4 revival of the Ummah. Does it any way mean ignoring the 'Uswa' of prophet Abraham and others (MayAllah b pleased with them) whom we are commanded 2 follow? Someone says if u find urselves in a situation like Moses were in Pharoah's court u have 2 follow
Moses' 'amal... Please guide as 2 what is the correct application of the different prophets' actions described in Qur'an and hadeeth? Jazak'Allah

Sallam Walaikum,

Brother i want to study the aqeedah in detail and wanted to know which books to read by Sheikh Taqiuddin an Nabhani and what chapters?

AA

The best book by Sheikh Taqiuddin on this topic is the 1st volume of Shaksiya Islamiya (The Islamic Personality), the first section of the book is all related to the issues of Aqeeda and discusses it in depth.

'Aisha (ra) asked about the punishment in the grave and the prophet (saw) said, "No (punishment in the grave), who told you that?"
Could you please read this tafsir (Ibn Kathir) and comment on the issue of punishment in the grave? I need clarification:

To reject punishment of the grave is the rejection of sahih narrations and therefore is a sin, those who rejected it like the Mu'tazilla were called misguided and sinful by the scholars.

Anonymous said...

I heard that before. It's more about the question of iman or tasdeeq in the punishment. Please help me out.

the issue of the punishment inthe grave is a complex issue. Most schollars consider that the hadith concerning it amount to mutawatir by meaning whilst some scholars do not concider this to be the case. As a layman it is not possible for you to make that judgement. Rather this is left to suitably qualified individuals. as for yourself its is obligatory to belive in it. For the schollars the issue is wheather the rejector of this is a kafir or still a muslim so the disscussion is not about how to belive in it as for the common man both tasdeeq and taqdeeq jazm anount to the same thing. Rather the disscussion is about the the person who rejects it. As for the hizb it does not adopt on the matter and it left to the individul to do taqleed to a muhadith on this matter.

Sorry, do you have an article that explains the issue of why actions are not part of belief - eeman?
