Letter from Sheikh Ata Abu Al-Rishta to the Shabab in Palestine who were harmed due their Da'wah

The following is a draft translation from Arabic.

Letter from the Ameer of Hizb ut-Tahrir, the scholar Sheikh Ata Ibn Khaleel Abu Al-Rishta (May Allah protect him) to the Shabab of Hizb ut-Tahrir who were harmed after the Hjzb issued a leaflet (call) entitled 'The Accord - it's a disaster'

After the Shabab of Hizb ut-Tahrir distrubuted leaflets entitled, 'Hizb ut-Tahrir‘s call to All Palestinians in General and Especially to Hamas & Fatah' and 'The Accord… it’s a disaster, Declaration of Hamas and Fatah to abide by the decisions of the Arab summits, to honour the international resolutions and regional pacts amounts to recognising the Jewish State!', they were exposed to persecution and beaten especially from those in authority The following is letter that was sent to them by the Ameer of the Hizb, the scholar - Sheikh Ata Abu al-Rishta:

Dear Brothers,
Asslamu alaikum wa rahmat ullahi wa barakatuhu,

“As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths. And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers)." [TMQ al ‘Ankaboot: 69]

I am aware that you are subjected to persecution and your blood is being spilled. While this tragedy saddens me to the core, it also pleases me at the same time, and my call at this juncture to you is as follows:

What pleases me is that you have held on to the truth steadfastly, are patient on the face of the persecution and you are openly complying with the command of Allah (swt). This reminds me of the steadfastness of the companions of the Prophet on the truth and their patience despite the sufferings. My glad tidings to the Shabab, in that they would have their share like the companions, may Allah be pleased with them, in terms of reward and victory.

On the other hand your plight pains me because the Muslims who say that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (saw) is His Prophet, are made to spill their blood only to pave the way for complying with the decisions of the entity of the Jews for the holy land. Instead of having a feeling of hatred and rancor for such decisions, they are delightfully dancing while their own blood is being spilled in the land of al Isra wal Me’raj. It saddens me to see that they have agreed to gradually sell the land off and their leaders are playing and maneuvering with words in order to accede to the international and Arab Summit resolutions and argue that it does not amount to recognising the Jewish entity, while it amounts to a clear recognition, yet they present these accords as if they are a victory for Palestine and its pride! When the shabab of Hizb ut-Tahrir speak the truth and show the light to clear the darkness and coverings on their eyes, the same leaders confront the Shabab, persecute them, paint their heads with blood, beat and strangle them. Not only this, they even fire in the air to terrorise the Shabab!

Dear Brothers,

Do not be disappointed with the mercy of Allah (swt), for the humiliation of these leaders by their patrons is not far off and their playing with words will not last long as they agree to share Palestine with the Jews, therefore their march to ignominy and humiliation has begun. They are prepared to settle for the small portions of Palestine that the Jews are throwing at them! So long they are on this path to their shame, their time is not very far away, the Jews will not stop short until these leaders themselves fully agree to demands of the Jews just as their partisans had done before them.

Dear Brothers, you are like the candle that burns but at the same time lights up the path for others. Allah willing, you will have your reward and victory from Him. The time is not far off when anyone who can see and perceive, that truth will catch up with them and will be dominant on earth whereas falsehood will fade away like foam! Similarly the day is not far off when anyone who can perceive will see that your path is the one that leads to victory just like the one which al-Farooq had led, and will lead to liberation just as in the reign of al-Nasser under the leadership of Salahuddin. They will soon realize that these are the cubs of that same lion! As for those who do not perceive the truth, they can neither see, nor hear nor comprehend and they can do no harm to Allah (swt).

As for those brothers who are guiding others to truth and facts, and yet their blood is spilled by such Muslims who have gone astray, for them the Prophet (saw) has these words:

«ما من مسلم يشاك شوكة فما فوقها إلا رفعه الله بها درجة، وحط عنه بها خطيئة» رواه مسلم.
“No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it and raises him a level even though it was the prick he receives from a thorn”. [Narrated by Muslim]

Despite the hardships and persecution by such Muslims who are led away, do not seek revenge on them but have sympathy for them and their predicament. Insha’Allah, the covering on their eyes will wither away, and they will soon realize that you have been their well wishers, truthful in your counsel, and they will then revert to you like the bothers of Yusuf’s (as) saying:

تَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ ءَاثَرَكَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنْ كُنَّا لَخَاطِئِينَ
“They said: "By Allah! Indeed Allah has preferred you above us, and we certainly have been sinners." [TMQ Yousuf: 91]

Oh brothers, in conclusion I would say what I said in the beginning:

وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ.
“As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths. And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers)." [TMQ al ‘Ankaboot: 69]
May peace be upon you and the blessing of Allah be with you.

In the end please accept my compliments.

Your Brother

An advice to Muslims working in the financial sector

Assalam wa alaikum wa rahmatullah wabarakatahu, Dear Brothers & Sisters, We are saddened to see Muslims today even those who practise many of the rules of Islam are working in jobs which involve haram in the financial sector. They are working in positions which involve usurious (Riba) transactions, insurance, the stock market and the like. Even though many of the clear evidences regarding the severity of the sin of Riba are known, some have justified their job to themselves thinking that they are safe as long as they are not engaged in the actual action of taking or giving Riba. Brothers & Sisters, You should know that the majority of jobs in the financial sector, even the IT jobs in this area are haram (prohibited) as they involve the processing of prohibited contracts. If you work in this sector, do not justify your job to yourself because of the fear of losing your position or having to change your career, fear Allah as he should be feared and consider His law regard

Q&A: Age of separating children in the beds?

Question: Please explain the hukm regarding separation of children in their beds. At what age is separation an obligation upon the parents? Also can a parent sleep in the same bed as their child? Answer: 1- With regards to separating children in their beds, it is clear that the separation which is obligatory is when they reach the age of 7 and not since their birth. This is due to the hadith reported by Daarqutni and al-Hakim from the Messenger (saw) who said: When your children reach the age of 7 then separate their beds and when they reach 10 beat them if they do not pray their salah.’ This is also due to what has been narrated by al-Bazzar on the authority of Abi Rafi’ with the following wording: ‘We found in a sheet near the Messenger of Allah (saw) when he died on which the following was written: Separate the beds of the slave boys and girls and brothers and sisters of 7 years of age.’ The two hadiths are texts on the separation of children when they reach the age of 7. As for the

Q&A: Shari' rule on songs, music, singing & instruments?

The following is a draft translation from the book (Selected fiqhi [jurprudential] issues) by the Mujtahid, Sheikh Abu Iyas Mahmoud Abdul Latif al-Uweida (May Allah protect him) . Please refer to the original Arabic for exact meanings. Question: What is the Shari’ ruling in singing or listening to songs?  What is the hukm of using musical instruments and is its trade allowed? I request you to answer in detail with the evidences? Answer: The Imams ( Mujtahids ) and the jurists have differed on the issue of singing and they have varying opinions such as haraam (prohibited), Makruh (disliked) and Mubah (permissible), the ones who have prohibited it are from the ones who hold the opinion of prohibition of singing as a trade or profession, and a similar opinion has been transmitted from Imam Shafi’i, and from the ones who disliked it is Ahmad Ibn Hanbal who disliked the issue and categorised its performance under disliked acts, a similar opinion has been tran
