Member of the Revolutionary Council in Homs thanks Hizb ut-Tahrir for their blessed work

Abu Bilal al-Homsi, member of the Revolutionary Council in Homs, Syria thanks Hizb ut-Tahrir for their blessed work and is asking Allah to bless them and their work. He calls Hizb ut-Tahrir for the "Heroes of Tripoli, Al-Sham".

NATO's Invasion of Syria

By Abu Anas

The United States and its Turkish ally are preparing for the worst-case scenario, which is invading Syria through ground troops in order to secure US hegemony. This is the third option the US possesses to maintain control over this strategic country in the Middle East, as we have outlined before in an earlier article. Such an invasion will most likely be vetoed by Russia and China in any UN resolution, therefore the US will resort to NATO to execute the military campaign.

Until now the US has been attempting to get the opposition to reach a compromise in which the rebels and the government negotiate the exit of Bashar al-Assad in return for ending the revolt and transitioning into a government that can pave the way for a democratic state. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) has not cooperated yet with such a political maneuver that would in effect abort the revolution by removing the face of the regime and maintaining its structure. A significant number of the FSA factions have dropped the revolution national flag (green, white with red stars) and instead raised the Islamic white flag with the black slogan "There Is No God But Allah", which shows the Islamisation of the rebels. The dilemma of the United States is that the Assad regime has proven its inability to crush the revolution and stabilize the country while the rebels are demanding an Islamic State.

Even though the military option has been discussed by analysts for a while, the point at which the US and Turkey signaled that such intervention is possible was on June 22nd, after the Syrian air-defenses shot down a Turkish reconnaissance airplane. Turkey threatened to take military action, if necessary, under the 5th article of the NATO charter. The Turkish F-4 Phantom jet flew at high speed and low altitude close to the Syrian airspace, an act that would automatically trigger the Syrian air defenses to shoot down the plane, which points at a deliberate US and Turkish plot seeking to gain an excuse for a later NATO intervention.1

On July 26th, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that a Turkish intervention would be definite if the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) establishes a separate state inside Syria by saying, "we will not allow a terrorist group to establish camps in northern Syria and Turkey."2 Whether it is the PKK militants or any other militant groups that would threaten Turkey’s stability, it would entail the same military response. Additionally, since the downing of the plane in June, Turkey has been amassing troops and spreading anti-aircraft defense systems along the Syrian border.3The clearest message surfaced last Monday, August 20th, when President Obama said: We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is [if] we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized.4 Aside from his comment being a green light for al-Assad to do whatever he wants against his people less than using chemical weapons, this is a warning from Obama to the "other players on the ground" (FSA) that the US has the excuse ready to militarily intervene if rebels do not comply and serve US interest!

On August 11th, the US announced that it has set up a joint operational planning group with Turkey that would coordinate both countries' response to the Syrian conflict.5 Clinton and her Turkish counterpart have both indicated that a "no-fly zone" is an option that is still in consideration. Today, the first meeting of this operational group that included “senior diplomatic, military and intelligence officials from the U.S. and Turkey met in Istanbul” in preparation for any chemical weapons fallout.6 State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that in addition to securing the chemical weapons, the plan will assist in maintaining law and order and offer “various levels of support that have been requested for public safety, public security, [and] for restructuring the military.6 Additionally, today, it was reported that the US Navy is sending its aircraft carrier, USS Stennis, back to the Middle East four months prior to its scheduled return. Secretary of Defense, Panetta, stated that one of the reasons for such a deployment was “the turmoil in Syria.7

The US will not use this option unless the regime partly or fully implodes, but it has set up the operational plans and will try to militarily intervene in Syria if the rebels establish a regime outside of its control, especially if the new regime is an Islamic one. For the rebels to block any excuse for intervention they should seek the demolition of the regime through encouraging the defection of full Syrian army units. The synchronization between the FSA and those units should lead afterwards to the immediate integration of the FSA back into the national army to secure all types of weapons and to prevent any external intervention. The only way for the rebels to secure a free and independent Syria is by having a united and strong army that is sincere to the Muslims in Syria and ready to secure the country and its borders.

Q&A: Coup in Mali?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Question and Answer: Mali

Question:

A military coup was announced in Mali on 22nd March, 2012 by the junior rank officers against President Amadou (Ahmedou) Toumani Touri. The coup announcement on the Mali Television by Lieutennant Ahmadou Konari, the spokesman of what is referred to by the revolutionaries as the National Committee for the Restoration of Democracy and State (CNRDR), stated that "...the Committee decided to assume its responsibility and put an end to Amadou (Ahmadou) Toumani Toure's incompetent regime". It may be noted that President Tomani Toure's second term in office was to come to an end next month and he is not allowed to stand ofr a third term in office under the constitution...

So what prompted these officers to hurried oust the president through a coup instead of waiting for his constitutional term to end next month? Then, is it a local event or does it have an international aspect to it? If so, what is it? May Allah reward you.

Answer:

Yes, the present president Amadou (Ahmedou) Toumani Touri was elected in 2002 and reelected in 2007, and his second term was to end next month when elections were due to take place on 29th of next month. Under the Mali constitution enacted in 1992, a president cannot seek his re-election for a third term. Also, the ousted president did not express his intention to seek re-election for a third term in office and thus can not be accused of having violated the constitution. This clearly means that the coup did not have any justification on the pretext of what they referred to as "removal of an incompetent president" because his term anyway was to end after a month and such chaotic actions were uncalled for!

However, observing the issue from all its aspects, it becomes clear that these officers have been encouraged by an international side to carry out the coup in order to prevent elections from taking place for electing a new president which were scheduled for next month, and create a new political equation...In order to understand as to how they could acheive this and what international side is behind it, one needs to consider the following:

1: Coup leader Captain Ahmadou Haya Sanogo clarified in his interview with the Spanich Agencia EFE on 23rd March, 2012 and described the coup staged by him and his colleagues as "a necessary step and that he intends to to hand over power to a new government which will be formed after consultations between all forces in the country after the ouster of president Ahmadou Toumani Toure. He expressed his intention and said that is not interested in remaining in power and along with his colleagues carried out the coup to usher in change in Mali after ten years of a corrupted regime...and that there were no oppurtunies for consultations with the ousted president and hence the the military leadership decided to take up arms. He stressed that everything was getting from bad to worse". Thus the words of the coup leader are not convincing because the elections are to take place in the next month and his coup is not justified unless he intends to prevent elections from place and so that no undesirable leadership comes to power. Also there is no apparant clash between the various political forces and election prcesses have run normally since 1992...

2: Early reactions to the coup from France have been sharp which ahve condemned it severely and its foreign minister Alain Juppe emphasised the need for holding elections as soon as possible and declared that his country has "suspended all relations with Mali, however will continue to provide humanitarian assistance...and will continue our work to counter terrorism". [AFP: 22.03.2012].

France has followed the European Union and Michael Mann, the spokesman for Catherine Ashton, the EU Foreign Policy Chief issued a statement saying: " "We condemn the military takeover of power and the suspension of the constitution. Constitutional rule should be restored as soon as possible." [AFP: 22.03.2012].

On the same day, France and Britain moved quickly and secured a resolution from the United Nationa Security Council (UNSC) severely condemning the coup and calling for restoration of constitutional order and elected government...this was followed by British Foreign Secretary Mark Lyall Grant who occupies the UNSC rotating presidency of the Security Council saying: "The Constitutional regime and a democratically eleceted government should be restored in Mali... and that the 15 UNSC members severely condemn the coup in Mali." This indicates that the coup is not in France's interest as well as others in the EU who have allied with France in order to protect their influence in Africa, on the contrary, the coup is against their influence.

3: As for the American reaction and its opposition to the coup which came after France and the EU response was rather "floating and tentative"! The US State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said: " The current situation is unclear and develops fast...We believe that grievances should be addressed through dialogue and not through violence."[BBC: 22.03.2012]. United Nations Secreatary-General Ban Ki-moon also expressed similarly in his statement calling for "calm and that grievances are resolved democratically." Thus these statements by the spokesmen indicate that the US is unperterbed by the coup and the UN Secreatary-General has followed the US policy on the issue, rather these statements point to US's tacit support when its State Dept. Spoeksperson says that "We believe that grievances should be addressed through dialogue and not through violence", and Ban Ki-moon's statement indicate that the US treats them both equally and gives them the right to rebel and stage the coup because of their injustices and grievances according to it.

4: The US had recently begun work to estblish its influence in Mali by sighning agreements with it to train Malian armed forces to fight terrorism as well as conduct practices for fighting rebel groups. It used to select officers and send them to the US for training. On 24.03.2012, the Times website reported informed US sources that an American diplomat who asked not to be named told journalists that: "the coup leader Captian Amadou (Ahmadou) Haya Sanogo was selected from among the elite officers by the US embassy to receive anit-terrorist training in the United States". He added that: "Sanogo travlled several times to the US on special missions...".

5: While France suspended political, military and economic cooperation with Mali as weel as aid to it, the US did not announce any such suspension of assistance which are to the tune of 137 million dollors annually. Further, Victoria Nuland, the US State Dept. Spokesperson stated that: "her country has not taken the decision to suspend US aid to Mali". [Al-Jazeerah 23.03.2012]. This indicates the extent to which France is is disturbed by the coup and points to its unhappiness, while it indicates that the US is undistubed by the events and in fact tacitly supports the coup.

6: All that we have mentioned points to that the US is behind the coup that took place in Mali and this is to exercise its influence over the Islamic land as replace France which had earlier colonised it and continues to hold influence over it. America intends to prevent the coming electoral process in Mali because the political establishment is pro-France. Thus through this coup, the tables have been turned over heads of French agents who toe the French policies. This coup has tied Mali to the US since the US controls the "miliary" movement and makes it difficult for the old political class allied to France to overcome the present situation, and at the most they can hope to participate ineffectively in the new set up under US influence.

7: Mali is an Islamic land whose people entered Islam hundreds of years back and whose overwhelming majority is Muslim which is about 90% of its population. Towards the end of the ninteenth century, the French colonialists occupied it and declared it to be its part in 1904. It as granted nominal independence in the year 1960. Mali is rich in mineral wealth like gold, phosphates, bauxite, iron, uranium and several other minerals. Of late it has been caught in the internal rivalries between the old "European coloniser France" and the new colonialist "America"...

Thus this Islamic land became the target for all greedy eyes and this is because the Muslims are disunited and ruled by systems other than Islam, so instead of working to restore the Khilafah State which unites all Muslim groups, strengthens them from their present weaknesses, one sses the Muslims divided under more then countries and statlets whose rulers do have no concern for peoples‘ issue but they realise the objectives and interests of the kuffar colonialists...This has further weakened the Muslims who have been deprived of the very base that strengthens them, and different nations are inviting each others to exploit them like one invites others for food on the dining table. Earlier the Muslims were the harbingers of all things good for the world who carried the call of the Truth through Da'wah and Jihad...the Prophet (saw) truthfully said:

"Soon a time will come upon you, when the nations will call one another against you, like a group of people sitting around a platter of food." The Sahaabah asked, "Ya Rasoolullaah, will we be few in number that day?" He (saw) replied."No, you wont be few in number, rather you will number MANY...BUT you will be like the floating rubbish, upon floods of water. When such a time shall come, Allaah, The Almighty, will extract your fear from the hearts of your enemies, and He, (swt), will cast Wahn into your hearts." The Sahaabah asked ke, "Ya Rasoolulllaah, whats Wahn?" He (saw) replied, "The Love of the dunia and the fear of death."Aboo Dawood.

So let us abandon the love of the world and let us give up fear of death in the path of Allah (swt) and work steadfastly to achieve the glad-tidings of the Prophet (saw) regarding the return of the Khilafah as he (saw) said:

"...ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا جَبْرِيَّةً، فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا، ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ نُبُوَّةٍ» ثُمَّ سَكَتَ. أخرجه أحمد."

"Then there will be an oppressive rule, and things will be as Allah wishes them to be. Then Allah will end it when He wishes. Then there will be a Khilafah according to the method of Prophethood." (Ahmad)

Thousands in Hama, Syria demand Khilafah on day of Eid ul-Fitr

This is how Eid ul-Fitr was celebrated in Hama, Syria! Demanding the Khilafah, tabarakAllah!

Ustadh Abu Anas comments upon the martyrdom of Sh. Mustafa Al Majzoub in Syria

Ustadh Abu Anas Alwahwah comments on the martyrdom of Shaykh Mustafa Al-Majzoub at Al-Risala bookstore in Bankstown, Sydney where hundreds of Muslims, mostly youth gathered there upon hearing the news of the shaykh's martyrdom on the 20th of August 2012.

Shaykh Mustaafa Al-Majzoub is one of Australia's most popular shaykhs, especially with the youth. He went to Syria, his homeland, to take part in the jihad there during the blessed uprising of 2011/12. He was martyred while fighting.

TRANSCRIPT:

Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar
When the Takbeers mix with the blood of martyrdom then the ummah has gone back to it's religion, and that is when we start seeing the ummah of Muhammad that we know
When the blood of martyrdom and Takbeers come together.

We ask Allah (sw) to make Shaykh Mustafa of those whom Allah described in the Quran "Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant which they made with Allah: so of them is he who accomplished his vow, and of them is he who yet waits, and they have not changed in the least"

My brothers in Islam, I will not repeat what our brother has said and all he said was good. But I say to you my brothers a glad tiding that was given to you by your prophet Muhammad, today we see it in Al-Sham.

In Al-Sham today my brothers is the battle between Islam as a whole and Kufr as a whole. In Al-Sham today is the battle of Islam as a whole against kufr as a whole. Al-Sham which remained as a thorn in the neck of the enemies

Al-Sham which has repelled the Crusaders invasion and the the Mongol invasion, and is now resisting the Western colonialism. This Al-Sham is what will repel the Crusader / Jewish assault today.

On the land of Al-Sham the victory of the Ummah is being shaped. Tens of thousands of men, women and children are being martyred, so that the Ummah will once again be revived.

But I warn the youth today, and I say to them today, me and you, with Allah the blood of these martyrs will not be lost, but will we waste the blood of the martyrs?
How do we waste the blood of the martyrs? It is when a flag other than the flag of the messenger of Allah is raised on the land of Al-Sham after the victory. If we raise a flag of jahiliyya, nationalist, secular, capitalist, socialist, then we would have betrayed Allah and his messenger and the martyrs.

But if we return Al-Sham to how the messenger of Allah wanted, an Islamic Caliphate on the way of prophethood and this is how we would defended the blood off the martyrs
On the land of Al-Sham today will return the Caliphate once again as the prophet has said "Then it will be a Caliphate on the way of prophethood" and we will evict / pull / take back Al-Sham and the Ummah under the daylight from the enemies of Allah (Takbeers). I give you glad tidings brothers in Islam.

For a century, the youth of the Ummah have been sacrificing, the mujahidoon have been sacrificing, and then the Secularists hijack the revolutions. We must put an end to this humiliation, this shame. For this blood in Al-Sham, by Allah, least that should be accepted in this life is for the flag of tawheed to be raised.

Without the flag of tawheed we have not gained anything. It is not our role to die (as martyrs) only, but to die to bring life to Islam, not to die so that the Secularists can lead our nations once again and detach Islam once again.

Al-Sham has been detached (from Islam) for 100 years. The kuffar have divided it, they have given part of it to the Jews -- Palestine, another part to the Masons -- Jordan, another to the kuffar in Syria and have given the rest to the Christians in Lebanon. They wanted to put an end to Al-Sham because it is a thorn in their throats, but Allah will come to them from where they have not expected, and Allah has sent them Men who love death just as our enemies' love life. (Takbeer).

Glad tidings to the Majahideen, we do not cry over our martyrs, the ummah does not cry its martyrs, martyrs are not to be cried over. It is we that are responsible for the blood of the martyrs that this blood would bring victory to Islam and raise the flag of Islam, otherwise we would have betrayed the trust.

O Allah, (We ask you to punish) the oppressors, kuffar, the enemies of Islam, those who want evil to this Ummah, O Allah (we ask you to punish) America, and Europe, and China, and Russia, and Iran, and the Arab treacherous leaders, those who have betrayed Syria and all those who have conspired against Syria and all the tawaghit.

O Allah those martyrs, their blood, their women their children, do not let go in waste O Allah make it for your sake and for the sake of Islam and for the victory of Islam. O Allah accept them as martyrs and make us of those who follow them -- Ameen Ameen.

Unstoppable march in Damascus | Eid 2012

The flags of la illaha illa Allah (al-Oqaab and al-Raya) are seen everywhere at this huge protest in Damascus.

The Agency of the Assad Regime

By Abu Anas

The goal of mainstream media outlets is the shaping of people's viewpoints based on the agendas of governments and multinational corporations. Therefore, the Muslim political observer, without an official media outlet to reflect his strategic and vital interests, is left to be bombarded by anti-Islamic propaganda that purposefully misinforms and distorts reality. This has led to the misconception that the relationship between the United States and Syria is filled with animosity. This article will be the first of a two part series discussing this topic.

For anyone to be able to explain the relationship between different countries one must understand the interests of these countries and their political actions must be analyzed so one can define what type of relationship they have. The media has suggested that the Syrian regime is part of the Iranian "axis of evil" which jeopardizes the US interests in the region. Iran has a strategic depth extending through Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and even Bahrain, Yemen and Gaza. The Syrian regime, of all of these players, stands out as the strongest ally to Iran and is a pillar in its ability to project power into the Arab world. Based on this assumption, analysts have said that it is the strategic interest of the US to bring down the regime to undermine the Iranian influence in the region. They add that eliminating Syria from the Iranian sphere of influence will deal a great blow to Iran's expansionist strategy.

The political observer realizes that such an assumption is false through the examination of the political actions by the US towards the Syrian regime since the beginning of the revolution. One would be assured that if the above understanding of the US-Syrian relations were true then the US would have nurtured relationships with the Syrian opposition inside Syria from day one and even before the revolution. The first fact is that the US has left the regime to crack down upon the peaceful protests for months despite raw footage showing inhumane and totally savage behavior of the Assad militias (“shabiha”) towards innocent civilians. Aside from empty rhetoric and lip service from the US administration, nothing concrete was applied to support the rebels. Even the US ambassador to Syria stayed in Damascus under the guise of trying to collect information on the ground. The political cover that the US has provided to the regime, through the Arab League and the UN, cannot go unnoticed to even the amateur political observer and certainly not to the Syrian rebels.

The second fact, which is of greater importance, is the US not providing any military support to the Free Syrian Army (FSA), and until just recently giving a green light to Saudi Arabia and Qatar to fund the smuggling of meager weapons to the rebels. The US administration refused to  support the FSA with weapons under the excuse of not wanting to further militarize the conflict and just recently under the guise of Islamist composition of the FSA. It is of paramount importance to know that what is needed to bring down the regime in a relatively short period of time is to provide portable anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons. The FSA has specifically requested RPG-29 and SAM-7 supplies, something which is very easy for the US to provide. The US has given more sophisticated weaponry to the Afghan freedom fighters during the invasion in the 1970s which brought the Soviet Union to its knees. That kind of support can be used as the benchmark for when the US wants to bring down a regime. It is very clear that the US has behaved in a totally different fashion with the Syrian rebels.

A couple of issues that can be brought up by skeptics are the mistrust of some FSA factions and not having a unified and clear command for the FSA overall. First, if the Syrian regime was that much of a threat to the US, then supporting its enemies to cause its demise would be a priority. Second, the US could have from early on signaled that it will militarily support the opposition and it would have been very easy to connect with one of the defectors that would fulfill the US interests. When the US publicly supports that FSA personnel and its faction with the needed weapons, all future defectors will naturally fall in line under its leadership. This fact was confirmed by a Syrian financier to the rebels who was quoted as saying: "The number of fighters each commander can summon wax and wane with his ability to arm and pay them and their families, so there is no particular leader with enough clout to bring the brigades together."1 So both questions can be easily resolved when you supply such a contact with the needed weapons and the rest is a trickle down effect.

It can be seen clearly from the above analysis of the US relationship with the Syrian regime that the US prefers this regime to continue and that there is no hostilities, at least not to the level the mainstream media would like to propose is the case. The Syrian regime has secured the US interests in the region, specifically toward Israel, and the US is very happy to continue such a relationship, if possible, for the future. The Syrian people in general, and the rebels in specific, have to realize that the real support to the regime is coming from Washington first and foremost and not only from Moscow and Tehran!

This is how the Regime in Uzbekistan acts!

Karimov Shawwkat, was born in 1964 in Uzbekistan. He was sentenced to prison in 1999 charged with connection to Hizb ut-Tahrir. He was sentenced to nine years in prison. After he completed his term in 2008, the head of the regime did not release him and he was sentenced to an additional three years. Again after the completion of the second sentence in 2011, the judge refused his release sentencing Shawwkat to another three years until 2014.
In 2002, the prison board deliberately placed Shawwkat in the quarters with prisoners afflicted with tuberculosis so he can be stricken with the contagious disease. In fact, he became infected with tuberculosis. The prison wardens act on orders from the nation's president on eliminating prisoners.
Karimov Shawwkat suffered from tuberculosis, and every time his prison sentence ended, another prison term was sent down until he died at the San Krad Prison on Wednesday 27th Ramadan 1433 H (15/08/2012). Thereafter his family claimed his pure body from the stated prison.
We ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى for him and his brothers who had been killed by this oppressive regime for mercy and to join them as the Almighty said:
"Whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger will be with those whom Allah has blessed: the Prophets and the true, the martyrs and the righteous. What excellent company such people are! That is favour from Allah. Allah suffices as a Knower." [an-Nisaa, 4:69-70]

In Egypt only seats are set aside...at the cost of continuing tragedies!

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In Kenanah "Egypt", only seats are set aside...at the cost of continuing tragedies!

(Translation)

Yesterday evening, the Egyptian President issued some important and eye-catching decisions; most prominent among them was the superannuating of the Field Marshal Tantawi and his deputy Fariq Annan, the Chief of General Staff... These decisions have come at a time when there is intensifying the military actions in Sinai against (the insurgents), and are rising the police raids of the houses, arresting the suspect. Also, the vehicles are flocked in so as to close the tunnels, thereby tightening the siege upon the besieged!

Those who are following the political events in Egypt know that Egypt could not continue with two heads: the Military Council with immense powers, and the Egyptian President with reduced powers. So, the overthrow of one of the biceps/heads was expected and was just a matter of time, waiting for the nearest-term. Likewise, those following the political events are aware that America extended and is extending her supports inside the old political circles represented by the Military and its subordinates, as well as inside the post-elections' new political circles represented by the Egyptian president and his supporters. Those political conversations previously held with the officials within the new political circles are no secret, especially after 25 January.

They concluded that the attainment of reign by these people will neither alter the nature of the republican system and the Civil State, nor the international treaties and in particular the treacherous Camp David agreement, nor will adversely affect the interests of America in the Arab region...

Since America was considering that the Military and the old political circle was more capable to realize her political, economic and military interests than the new political circle whom she has not tested yet from the practical angle. For that reason, America was supporting the Military and was strengthening its powers more than the support it was extending to the Egyptian president and the new political circles... This approach continued in the American stance until the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton paid a visit to Egypt on 14/07/2012 CE, which was followed by the U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta on 31/07/2012. They met the Egyptian President, Field Marshal Tantawi and his deputy in the Military. At this point, the U.S. State Department realized that its continuation with the two heads will affect her interests and will further complicate the matters, especially considering the fact that the Field Marshal and his deputy were the two main pillars in the earlier regime and their presence was generating provocation as regards the peoples' perception towards the earlier regime!

It was observed after those two visits that the voice of Military in the public life has become feeble and subdued while the voice of Egyptian president has become loud and clear. It was understandable that this is a beginning of the recent decisions, preceded by a consultative meeting between Egyptian President and the Military Council, as stated (to Reuters) by Major General Muhammad Assar, the new Deputy Defense Minister. Then, the meeting resulted in those decisions to be announced at appropriate time ... Although Tantawi and Annan held high positions in the army and had strongly served the interests of America, however they were easily retired on pension, a feat the American arms are not free from its role in it.  Even though the followers of colonialist kuffar see with their own eyes as to how America throws them out when their role comes to an end, nevertheless they neither learn a lesson from it, nor take an Ibrah/example, nor take it into consideration!

The American official circles kept silent throughout past days from making any comment on what happened so that the situations can go by without any noise. Then, what was hidden behind the perforated doors got uncovered! As today (13/08/2012) Victoria Nuland spokeswoman for the U.S. State Department stated, commenting on those decisions, that (when the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Egypt and then was followed by Defense Minister Leon Panetta, we understood at that time that there will be some consultations and changes. From this perspective, this change is not surprising to us)!  On the other hand, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense confirmed (that the officials in the Pentagon are acquainted with the new leaders of the armed forces in Egypt...)! Therefore, the new military leadership is not different from the old military leadership with the exception of replacement of the faces. However, as for the general tendency the direction is the same.

O Muslims, this soft change could be done without bloodshed in Sinai, especially since the new defense minister Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi is a member of the Military Council and was appointed by Mubarak. He is the youngest member in the Council and the most active among them and has had a clear impact on the decisions of the Council as the Director of military intelligence and reconnaissance, despite his less appearance at the public arena, owning to the nature of his work in the military intelligence... Therefore, in such a scenario he is highly important in the Military Council on a par with the Field Marshal and the General! However, the American arms wished that the removal of chairs be painted with bloods in Sinai and closure of the tunnels be allowed. Hence, the presence of insurgents was exploited in Sinai, who were worried about the comfort of Jewish entity. Also the allegations that they entered the tunnels, which was providing Gaza with the lifeline... were exploited to make Sinai secure from any resistance against the entity which has taken Palestine by force. Since the Security is obsessed with the Jewish entity, which was taken seriously by America, for this reason U.S. Secretary of Defense made it public during his visit to Egypt, expressing (U.S. concern about the security threats in Sinai and the smuggling of people and weapons at the border). He further said (there was an understanding that we will continue to work together to achieve the security in any way possible...). Concerning this, the New York Times published on 11/08/2012 (the United States and Egypt are trying to develop a new security plan to tackle the deterioration of the situation in Sinai). This is with regard to the security of Jewish entity; while on the other hand, the conditions were prepared to close the tunnels, which were indeed the lifeline to Gaza Sector, without their being free and full opening for the crossings! i.e. the means for bringing about this soft change under the patronage of U.S.A. was the blood which was spilled in Sinai, besides making it a method to close the tunnels anew as was used to be done by the tyrant Mubarak!

O Muslims, Egypt is the citadel of Islam, the starting point for conquests and a source of victories over the enemies of Islam such as the Crusaders and the Tartars... and was the caretaker of Khilafah after its elimination in Baghdad. Also, it was the connecting link between the Abbasid Khilafah and the Uthmani Khilafah... Today it is worthy of becoming the starting point for Khilafah once again and the launching pad for Army to liberate Palestine from the atrocity of assaulting Jews... and not to be a base for America to change and remove the chairs from left to right!

We conclude the statement by once again advising the Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi, even if he did not accept our first advice... as we will never despair of advising every Muslim, especially if he is involved in the ruling. So, we follow our first advice with the second one saying: that even though the American arms have extended to the old and new political circles, however, its cessation is possible and accessible. And rectifying a mistake made once is better than persisting in mistake and doing it repeatedly. Similarly, seeking the friendship of the American arms and trying to establish good relations with them will be of no avail... rather those arms should be cut off and removed. Otherwise, there will be regret, which cannot be escaped! The land of Kenanah is a land of strength and invincibility and its precedent in that is witnessed and recorded. And he, who is truly with Allah, will prevail as the verses of Holy Qur'an clearly speak so and the same was reiterated by the Egyptian President in his last speech:

((والله غالبٌ على أمره ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون))

(And Allah has full power and control over His Affairs, but most of men know not) yes, Allah Almighty has spoken the truth (And who is truer in statement than Allah?)

ألا هل بلغنا اللهم فاشهد... ألا هل بلغنا اللهم فاشهد... ألا هل بلغنا اللهم فاشهد

Have we not conveyed the message? O Allah! Be our witness... Have we not conveyed the message? O Allah! Be our witness... Have we not conveyed the message? O Allah! Be our witness.

Thwarting The Syrian Revolution

The United States' strategy employed on the Syrian political theater has been outlined in detail in a prior article we have posted. We have summarized the current US strategy in thwarting the revolution using the proverb, "if you can't beat them, join them." It is important to understand the different plans that the US could utilize to achieve the implementation of this strategy. Keeping in mind that the power elements on the ground are two: the rebels (through the FSA) and the regime (through the military institution), the US has three methods to reach its goals.

The first option is infiltrating and influencing the FSA to obey a chain of command that is loyal and controlled by the US. The purpose of such a plan is to steer the rebels away from their goal of bringing down the regime and to sit down at a negotiation table with some of its "acceptable" elements to reach a compromise solution and to form a unity transitional government. The US could encourage some of the loyal military officers to defect from the army and to act as an inside agent to influence the rebels. Many different types of carrots and sticks can be used to make the rebels comply. Offering bribes, weapons, promising prestigious positions in future Syria, and many others can be used to seduce some rebels. Psychological warfare, for example the rumors about the regime's plan to use chemical weapons against the rebels, and the regime’s military warfare left by a watching world to massacre civilians are two examples of using the stick to subdue the rebels and to destroy their hopes and crush their morale.

The second option is to advise the military to conduct a pseudo-coup against Bashar al-Assad and to "publicly" defect and side with the revolution. This tactic was employed in Egypt, Tunisia and certainly in Yemen where the half-brother of Ali Abdullah Saleh defected and appeared to side with the revolution. The goal of such a move is to maintain the old regime by preserving what is left from the military institution. In such a scenario, after this far in the revolution, one would expect a defection followed by some carefully managed fight between some factions close to the al-Assad regime, like the 4th Army Division or the Republican Guard, and even the killing or arresting of Bashar al-Assad himself. This way, the rebels will not have any reason to fight, and a request to disarm the rebels under the guise of rebuilding the state and its institutions and national security will be more acceptable to the Syrian public opinion.

The third option is the US last resort, employed if all other options fail, which is the direct military invasion of Syria to secure its interests in that country. That invasion can take two forms, either through a United Nation's military mission under the 7th chapter of the UN charter or a NATO ground invasion by Turkey and an air-cover conducted mainly by the US. The invasion will be conducted under the guise of saving the civilians from a human tragedy in a similar fashion as in Libya and to protect Syria from chaos and civil war during the transitional period after the demolition of the regime. In this scenario, one would expect the cooperation of the Syrian military in instigating the necessary steps that leads to international intervention and to be part of a war play that might have some parts of the army as scapegoats. The military campaign should seem friendly to the Syrian people and not as an occupying force.

The first option has failed miserably and the US seems to have lost hope in unifying the FSA under its preferred umbrella, the SNC.1 Due to the rebels’ success in shaking the regime without any international help, a sense of urgency to directly try to affect the outcome of the revolution is surfacing in US talks. This is noticed in the meeting between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, last Saturday August 11st, where both parties decided to setup a bilateral team to prepare for the worst-case scenario and to "perform 'intense analysis' of all options [that] could be a precursor to more direct assistance."2 In addition, yesterday, the defected Syrian Prime Minister, Riad Hijab, has given a speech in Jordan where he called the military institution to defect from al-Assad, which could be a precursor to a pseudo-coup. Mr. Hijab was quoted to say, "I urge the army to follow the example of Egypt's and Tunisia's armies – take the side of the people."3

The goals of the revolution, which are to bring down the regime and to clean Syria from the criminal mobs of al-Assad, must be protected. The rebels should not accept the defection of the military institution without guarantees. If the military is sincere, then the rebels should be allowed to keep their weapons until the transitional period is over, by which a just and public revolutionary court is immediately established and all of the military officers who were involved in the bloodshed are tried through this tribunal, especially those high-ranking officers that gave orders and forced soldiers to shoot at innocent civilians. If the army refuses such tribunal, then they fail the litmus test and it becomes clear that the military wants to protect the criminals that are still within its institutions and the rebels would ascertain that the revolution did not yet end!

Message from a field commander in Syria on their goal of establishing Khilafah

A video message from Abu Shadi to the city of Tripoli and the brothers of Hizb ut-Tahrir who have supported the revolution from day one and been intimately involved in it.

Abu Shadi is the field commander of the brigade of resistance of the city of Bab Amro in Syria.

ALLAHUAKBAR. "We will not replace our Creed with their democracy, and we will not replace the rule of Islam with their ideology, and after all these sacrifices we won't accept anything but Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, Muhammad as our Prophet, Qur'an as a guidance and constitution, and the Khilafah on the path of Prophethood by Allah's will."

Video: "Rohingya" The Forgotten People

The world today has forgotten the Muslims of Rohingya.

The media has turned a blind eye as have the governments. But these same governments are happy to lift sanctions and now embark upon trade deals with the Myanmar government who is commiting acts of ethnic cleansing and setting up concentration camps, raping the women and mercilessly killing the children.

This video details some facts about the state of the Rohingya Muslims and asks some questions as to why the Government of Myanmar and the so called peace loving "Bhuddists" are so vehemently against them.
Why is the government of Bangladesh though it is a muslim country also against them that they refuse them afew morsels of food and some shelter as they seek refuge from the genocidal acts commited against them, are they not also muslims? Do they not believe in the same creator Allah and that Muhammed SAW is the last messenger of Allah swt?

An Islamic Perspective on the Olympics

The closing ceremonies for the London Olympics were performed on August 12th for over ten thousand athletes from 204 nations. It was estimated that 8 million people attended the games in person and close to 4 billion people watched the games from around the world. This year’s Olympics were considered unique for many due to the fact that Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei had sent women participants for the very first time in their history. This move by the 3 Muslim countries was seen as a milestone for the advancement of Muslim women around the worlds.

Origins of the Olympics
The Ancient Olympic Games – which began as early as 776 BCE were a series of competitions (i.e. running events, a pentathlon, boxing, etc) held between representatives of several city-states and kingdoms within Greece. Similar to the origins of the Christmas celebration, the Olympics had religious significance, featuring sporting events alongside ritual sacrifices for the idols whom they worshipped. Furthermore, the winners of the events were admired and immortalized in poems and statues. Today, the Olympic Games have become a tradition that extends itself across the world. Nations send their teams to compete in a host country while the citizens at home keep track of the events to see how well their country does.

As members of their community, Muslims may feel the pressure to watch the Olympic Games in order to “fit in”. However, prior to doing this, we need to first ask ourselves how the Prophet (saw) viewed prevailing customs and traditions? We must follow his example because Allah (swt) revealed:

“And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.” [TMQ 59:7]

“Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example (to follow) for him who hopes in (the meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much.” [TMQ 33:21]

When it comes to any situation, we must refer to the commandments of Allah (swt) as revealed to the Prophet (saw) who was chosen by Allah (swt) to be the role model for humanity. During his life, one situation occurred after the Prophet (saw) had migrated to Madina al-Munawarah. Anas (ra) narrated,

“When the Prophet (saw) migrated from Makkah to Madina, the people of Madina used to have two festivals. On those two days, they had carnivals and festivity. The Prophet (saw) said, 'Instead of those two days, Allah has appointed for you two other days, which are better, the days of ‘Eid ul-Fitr and ‘Eid ul-Adha.'” [An-Nasaa’i]

Despite the fact that there were prevailing customs and traditions, the Prophet (saw) did not in any way compromise by involving himself or the Sahabah (ra). Rather, he acted upon what was revealed. We should view the Olympics in a similar manner; as it does not emanate from the Islamic culture and therefore we should not partake in its events.

Nurturing Nationalism
From its inception, the main idea behind the Olympic Games has been to determine through competition, which team will succeed at winning the most medals. While in Ancient Greece, the teams were based on city-states and kingdoms, today we have nation states competing against one another. Consequently, the competitions incite feelings of nationalism, patriotism and tribalism within the participants as well as the attendees. For the Muslim Ummah, this presents another dilemma as we are united by the Aqeedah of Islam, yet we are encouraged in the Olympic Games to rally behind a specific country defined by other than Islam. RasulAllah (saw) clearly forbade ‘asabiyyah (nationalism) when he said the following:

“He is not one of us who calls of ‘asabiyyah or who fights for ‘asabiyyah or who dies for ‘asabiyyah.”[Abu Dawood]

“He who calls for ‘asabiyyah is as if he bit his father’s genitals.” [Mishkat al-Masabih]

As a result, it is haram for athletes to represent a specific country and it would be haram for attendees to support any of these countries as the artificial boundaries that divide the Muslim Ummah were put in place by the Colonial powers through treaties such as the Sykes-Picot agreement, which were meant to keep the Muslims divided and weak.

Spreading Liberal Capitalist Values
Despite the fact that only traces of paganism continue to be seen at the Olympic Games, it is quite obvious that the games are being used as a mechanism to spread the Liberal Capitalist values of freedom which run counter to the sublime values set up by Allah (swt). The games encourage and promote concepts such as the exposure of awrah among men and women and the free-mixing of genders which are all liberal concepts alien to Islam. As mentioned earlier, the 2012 Olympic Games have received extra attention as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brunei have sent women to participate in the competitions for the very first time. To claim that these Muslim countries have taken a historical step towards the advancement of Muslim women around the world is a sham, as Islam prohibits the participation of women in sports activities in the presence of a male audience, even if they wore full Islamic dress as this would be a display of their tabarruj (charms). Allah (swt) revealed:

"And as for women past childbearing who do not expect wed-lock, it is no sin on them, if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show their charms." [TMQ 24:60]
In this ayah, Allah (swt) has forbidden women past child-bearing age from displaying their charms (tabarruj), allowing the discarding of the jilbab (outer garment), without displaying their charms (tabarruj). Implicit in this, is the prohibition of tabarruj. Since women past the age of childbirth have been prohibited from displaying their charms (tabarruj), then by greater reason, women who have not reached such an age should also not display their tabarruj. Allah (swt) revealed:

"…And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their charms…" [TMQ 24:31]

Furthermore, the participation of Muslim women in the Olympics compromises their Islamic dress code which includes the khimar (headscarf) and jilbab. It also undermines the concept of hayah (modesty) in women to which Islam attaches great importance and worth.

An Organized Distraction (Lahw)
The secular Aqeedah is built on the separation of deen (religion) from life. Consequently, human beings are left to pursue their desires in an unrestricted manner as there is no perceived repercussion to worry about in the afterlife. The secular doctrine is a belief centered on recreation and entertainment, distracting human beings from achieving their true goal in life, which is to attain the pleasure of Allah (swt). Instead, human beings are given the goal of achieving sensual satisfaction as the ultimate purpose. So human beings strive hard to entertain themselves and to seek their pleasures in life, not worrying about the consequences of their actions in the afterlife. As a result, it is natural for secular societies to hold organized distractions on such a grand scale, where a significant amount of time and capital is invested. Within these organized distractions athletes play professionally on a national or international level. In addition, staff and security is appointed to oversee the activities of these athletes. Billions of dollars are spent on infrastructure such as stadiums and arenas to accommodate for the athletes to compete in and for the fans to attend. Television programs and radio broadcasts are scheduled to inform the masses about the progress of the games, until they become the talk of the town, city, region or even the world.

There are some kinds of lahw, which are halal and mubah (permissible), such as target shooting, swimming, racing, and wrestling. However, these lahw are halal is done in accordance with the hukm sharai (i.e. there is no free-mixing or display of awrah) and as long as it does not cause one to be unmindful of his/her obligations. Imam Al-Shaatibi (rh) says, “Lahw, entertainment and vacancy from any work is Mubah (permissible), if it does not involve a forbidden matter, or occupy one from an obligated matter.” And he adds, “But he is blameworthy, and the scholars did not agree with it (i.e. they did not like it), rather they would hate to see a man, who was not busy with either improving his livelihood or improving his Hereafter; for he had wasted a period of time which was not used to gain any good for this world, nor for the afterlife.”

The attention that the media has given to the Olympic Games poses the danger of distracting Muslims away from maintaining focus on the akhirah and seeking the pleasure of Allah (swt) by abiding by the hukm sharai’ to wasting time watching competitions that amount to nothing other than the pride an ego of one nation over another. The Olympic Games are an even greater danger to non-Muslims who are busy entertaining themselves rather than seeking the purpose of their existence and destination after this life.

How should we view the Olympics?
Muslims should reject and disassociate themselves from the Olympics due to the following reasons:
  • It doesn’t emanate from the Islamic Aqeedah but from the traditions of Ancient Greece,
  • It nurtures sentiments of tribalism, nationalism and patriotism – concepts that are alien to Islam and a poison to the unity and brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah
  • It is being used as a tool by Liberal Democratic countries to pressure Muslim lands to conform to their values, and
  • It distracts Muslims away from engaging in actions that will increase their standing before Allah (swt) and for the non-Muslims in seeking the purpose in life.
The 2012 Olympic Games took place during the month of Ramadhan – a time when RasulAllah (saw) encouraged us to engage in more good deeds as their rewards would be multiplied. While the nation states were competing against each other in London, our brothers and sisters have been struggling against the tyranny of the regimes imposed in our lands – such as in Syria or Burma. Muslims must strive, like the Sahabah (ra), with seriousness and thought, to return to ruling by that which Allah (swt) has revealed and to re-establish the authority of Islam. We should shun the frivolous pursuits, the organized distractions, the computer games, spectator sports, and the like. Instead, we must turn our attention to the return of this Ummah to its position of might, and above all, yearn for the meeting with Allah (swt). Such a goal requires seriousness, perseverance and patience. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,

“The two feet of the son of Adam will not move from near his Lord on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about five matters: about his life, how he spent it; about his youth, how he took care of it; about his wealth, how he earned it and how he spent it; and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge that he acquired.” [Tirmidhi]

We ask Allah (swt) to make us among those who are aware of the importance of time and are serious about the pursuit of the Hereafter. We also ask Him to help this Ummah to rise to her greatest duty of being a witness on mankind.

“So as for he who transgressed. And preferred the life of the world, Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge. But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.” [TMQ 79:37-41]
