Remembering Sheikh Mohammad Hawarey

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم We wish to remember  Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Hawarey ,  one of the Ulema (scholars) from Hizb ut-Tahrir who passed away on 11 June 2011, may Allah (swt) grant him  jannah .  The Sheikh was a da'wah carrier who worked to resume the Islamic way of life through re-establishing the Khilafah  who continued to exhaust  tremendous effort despite the severe bone marrow fibrosis he suffered.  The Sheikh  rahimahullah  was born in Rabi Thani 1350 H, 1931 descending from the disciple of the Prophet (saw): Al-Zubeir the son of Al-Awwam, the ancestry of whom meets that of the Prophet (saw) at Qusay the son of Kelab: the Master of Quraysh. The aunt of Al-Zubeir was Khadeejah the daughter of Khuwaylid, his two uncles were Hamza and Al-Abbas, his cousins were Ali (the Caliph) and Jaafer, his father-in-law was Abu Bakr (the Caliph), and his son was Abdullah (the Caliph), may Allah (swt) be pleased with them all. Remembering the martyr Sheikh Abdul Aziz Badri

Occasionally the carriers of the da’wah to resume the Islamic way of life through re-establishing the Khilafah are asked questions such as ‘who are your scholars?’ Bearing in mind what is mentioned in the article ‘ Scholars who are working for Khilafah ’ we plan provide some information regarding these scholars for the English speaking audience and provide the links to some of their Arabic books.  One such scholar in the last century is the Shaheed (martyr) Sheikh Abdul Aziz Badri (rh), from the shabab of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Ghannushi’s Political Paradoxes: the Islamic Secular?

In early March 2012, Rashid al-Ghannushi—the well-known thinker and leader of Ennahda, the political party that fared best in Tunisia’s recent elections—addressed a small audience from Tunisia’s elite at the Centre for the Study of Islam and Democracy. The speech was covered widely in the Arab media. Ghannushi’s party is commonly considered an Islamic party, and many of its members sacrificed for Islamic views during the harsh tyrannical years. But, since the popular uprising that led to the removal of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, Ennahda’s leaders have made statements distancing themselves from their Islamic heritage. They have made several statements that are out of step with the fervent Islamic feeling unleashed by the uprising, sending out ‘reassuring’ messages to the West that they want a ‘civil’ state. Ghannushi himself even rebutted comments by Hamadi al Jebali who tried to win the hearts of supporter by talking about this historic period of change as ‘a divine moment in a new stat
