Egypt: Blair Reveals his Views about Political Islam

On Sunday 7th July, the former Prime Minister of Britain waded into the debate about whether or not the Egyptian coup was legitimate. He was quick to take the side of the military and said,  "The events that led to the Egyptian army's removal of President Mohamed Morsi confronted the military with a simple choice: intervention or chaos. Seventeen million people on the streets are not the same as an election. But it as an awesome manifestation of power."  Blair's remarks come as Egypt faces prolonged civil conflict after the removal from power of Morsi, who came to office with 51% of the popular vote at the country's first democratic presidential election, held last year. Blair is now openly advocating that Western democratic principles should be sacrificed in an effort to maintain the West's hegemony in the region. He said,  "I am a strong supporter of democracy. But democratic government doesn't on its own mean effective government. Today effi

The removal of ‪Mursi‬ represents a great failure for Democracy‬

The Egyptian 'Shurooq' newspaper reported in its daily edition on the 4th of July news that the German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said:  'The removal of the President Muhammad Mursi by the Egyptian army yesterday on Wednesday represents a great failure for Democracy'. Westerwelle went on to say to the press in the background of his visit to Greece:  'It is a great failure of Democracy in Egypt'  adding:  'Egypt returning in the fastest possible time back to the constitutional system is an urgent matter and there is a real danger in regards to the vulnerability of a Democratic transition in Egypt'. It is clearly apparent that what has happened in Egypt in relation to the Muslim Brotherhood government in recent days is the same as what happened in Algeria in the nineties with Islamic Salvation Front when the army performed a coup upon that which was described as 'Legitimacy'. It has exposed vividly the 'Democratic Lie' that

The following is the translation of an  Arabic Q&A  from the website of t he noble jurist, Islamic politician and mufassir Sheikh `Ata’ Ibn Khalil Abu Rashta (Allah preserve him). Question: With respect to the subject of al-Rikaz, it is mentioned in the book, al-Amwal (The Funds) that there is one fifth of al-Rikaz, and the question is: with respect to the forms and metals that have a specific significance or express a specific view about life such as: crosses, and statues that are manufactured from ivory, is it permissible to possess them if they were from al-Rikaz? Q&A: The Continuing Protests in Turkey | Sheikh Ata’ Abu Rashtah

The protests are still continuing in Turkey, but not with the momentum as the first days of 31/5/2013 in Taksim square in Gazi Garden. People were protesting against the uprooting of the park's trees, executing government plans to transform the barracks to the Ottoman era into a commercial and residential area, so protests ensued the next day not less than 67 cities. The clashes took place between protesters and security forces who wanted to end their protests. Several people were killed and hundreds of protesters and police were injured, and hundreds of protesters were arrested, and arrests are continuing even today in search for the instigators. What are the causes of these protests and who were behind them and what is their aim? There is something that brings about attention and that is the protesters' laid-back attitude towards President Abdullah Gül and the harsh attitude towards Erdogan. The protesters are more satisfied with Abdullah Gül, more than with Erdogan. D
