Eid Dilemma ( Lahore ) Pakistan vs ( Delhi ) India

Eid Dilemma (Lahore) Pakistan vs (Delhi) India Flashback: Prior to so-called independence from the Colonial Britain, sighting of the moon in Lahore of Al-Hind (India+Pakistan+Bangladesh) was valid and acceptable in Delhi. Lahore and Delhi is less than 500 km (311 miles). Fast forward to Ramadan 2016: The moon was sighted in Lahore on Tuesday 5th July after Magrib and Muslims in Pakistan will be celebrating Eid today Wednesday 6th July. However the Muslims of India, especially the north and central belts of the country will still be fasting today and will celebrate Eid on Thursday 7th July 2016. This is because the Ruyyat Committee scholars in New Delhi have adopted the madhab of their colonial masters when the British Kuffar divided Al-Hind into 2 countries in 1947. So these Colonised Scholars have decided that that *their* moon should be sighted in either the north or central part of India. Any sighting that happens at the other line on the map which was valid l

Islam is the solution to the bloodshed that has scarred Ramadhan

The blessed month of Ramadhan has once again been scarred by bloodshed in Muslim lands: attacks at Istanbul airport, a cafe in Dhaka, the murder of a Qawwal in Karachi, a bomb blast in Baghdad city centre – and now an explosion in Al Madinah Al Munnawarah, as well as other places in the Arabian Peninsula. We pray that Allah (swt) accepts our brothers and sisters killed in this blessed month as shaheed. We pray He gives sabr to their families, and gives healing to those injured. Some will say these are acts by militant ‘Islamic’ groups. Some think they are acts of individuals inspired by these groups. Some think they are committed or provoked by external security agencies. What is certain is that Allah will hold to account those who committed these acts. What is also certain is that beyond the blood spilled and fear generated, such acts are used by the enemies of Islam and Muslims: Regimes in the Muslim world use such acts to clamp down on critics and political opposition

Moon Sighting :Simplifying the Controversy - Mazin Abdul Adhim

Moon Sighting: Simplifying the Controversy Ramadhan is almost passed and Eid is almost upon us, and with it the issue of sighting of the moon rises once again. Here are a few thoughts to simplify the issue for those who feel confused about the Islamic rules related to it: Rasool Allah (saw) said: صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلاثِينَ "Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it, and if it clouds over, then complete the count to thirty." [Al-Bukhari] This Hadith has two possible meanings: a) Fast when you or someone in your region sees it, so each region fasts separately from each other region, or b) everyone on earth should fast when anyone on earth sees it, as long as you can communicate the message that the new moon was sighted. [ Note: there is absolutely no Shar'iee basis to follow a specific country, and anyone who tells you to follow a nation-state country, such

Q&A: The Khabar and the Inshaa’ in Usul ul-Fiqh

Question: As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu, The difference between the Khabar and the Inshaa’ was mentioned within the book ‘Usool ul-Fiqh’ of Sheikh Taqiuddeen, may Allah cover him in his mercy, and also in the book ‘Al-Kawkab Al-Muneer’ by Ibn An-Najjaar (rh) in addition to other books related to the Usool of the Aqeedah. The example of At-Talaaq (divorce) and Azh-Zhihaar (pre-Islamic Jaahil practise for divorce) was mentioned in the two books as being Inshaa’ just as Al-‘Alaamah Ibn An-Najjaar and others mentioned that the origin of Azh-Zhihaar is Khabar. My question: I find it difficult to understand and differentiate between the Khabar and the Inshaa’!! From Hamzeh Shihadeh Answer: Wa Alaikum us Salaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu, Yes, the third Shakhsiyah book (The Islamic Personality Vol 3) does mention the Khabar and the Inshaa’. It was also mentioned in ‘Al-Kawkab Al-Muneer’ just as it was also mentioned the Talaaq (divorce) and the Zhihaar

Questions and Answers on Adoption (Tabanne’y) - Sheikh Taqiuddin an-Nabhani

The following is a translation of an Arabic Q&A by Sheikh Taqiuddin an-Nabhani of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Questions and Answers on Adoption (Tabanne’y) An ideological party is a structure composed of individuals bonded to an ideology which they believe in and seek towards its implementing in the society. In other words, it is an idea that is embodied in a group of people who aim towards implementing this idea in the relationships of the society. The ideology would be considered the foundation or the soul of the party. Whereas, the existence of the ideological party would be manifested in the life through the party’s structure being based on the ideology and the embodiment of the ideology in the individuals of the party. However, this stage comes after a person is guided to the idea and establishes a party. Also, the strong inclination to establish the ideology in the society is the factor which distinguishes an ideological party from other types of parties. Therefore, to con
