Q&A: Timings of Salah (prayer) by Sheikh Ata’ Abu Rashta

The following is the translation of an Arabic Q&A from the website of t he noble jurist and mufassir Sheikh `Ata’ Ibn Khalil Abu Rashta (Allah preserve him). Question: I am among the Shabab from Finland with a question regarding timings for Iftar in our region where even if the sun goes down, it is not ‘dark as night’ rather it remains like the twilight which appears shortly after the sunset. Please note that I live in a remote area of northern Finland which is about 800 km away from its capital Helsinki and there is hardly any group of Muslim. The Self-Defeating Mimic: A Walking Paradox

A liberating moment occurs when the oppressed can think beyond the imaginary horizon constructed by the oppressor. A liberation of the consciousness and the inauguration of an emancipatory trajectory begins when the colonized realizes that what his oppressor had deemed desirable and natural is in fact undesirable and artificial and that which was deemed impossible is in fact inevitable. He is at once paralyzed, yet ignorant of his state of servility as he continues to pursue the limited trajectories for so-called liberation within the scope of ‘possibility’ pre-set by the violent colonizer. History testifies that this is indeed the epitome of servility (for the colonized) and the strongest medium and expression of power (for the colonizer). For wh

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The Regime of the Butcher Karimov Continues to Murder Members of Hizb ut Tahrir! martyrs were elevated to the Most High, who for long years were denied freedom by the repressive regime, the regime of the yahood Karimov who hates Islam and Muslims, for nothing other than that they worked with Hizb ut Tahrir for the return of the Islamic way of life, إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ "We belong to Allah and to Him we will return." (Al-Baqara, 2:156) One of them is Amanov Hameed Allah, from the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan. The Uzbek security forces kidnapped him from there and imprisoned him, and then transferred him to the prisons of Uzbekistan, and deprived him of freedom by sentencing him to long years in prison. Our brother was an example of piety and courage to the many other prisoners in the prisons of the criminal Karimov. Despite the oppression and torture that Hameed Allah experienced at the hands of the oppressive regime
