The energy crisis is a clear evidence for the urgent need for Khilafah

بِسْمِ الله الرَّحمَنِ الرَحيم Whilst the world searches for alternative and renewable energy and the Westerners benefit from the abundant, cheap oil and gas from the Muslim World, living in warm, lit houses for 24 hours a day, blissfully unaware of even the concept of energy shortages, the Muslims of Pakistan find themselves in darkness and severe cold. From December 2007 until now, the Muslims of Pakistan began to suffer from severe electricity shortages, in the middle of winter, when electricity demand is at its lowest! Pakistan Electric Power Company (PepCo) enforced load shedding, thereby cutting off electricity for hours at a time, which crippled industry, business and daily life. Furthermore, the government first blamed low water supplies and then natural gas shortages for disrupting the generation of electricity. The government tried partial solutions that failed. The local and foreign private companies were asked to increase their generation of electricity, which they were rel...

Letter from Hizb ut-Tahrir to the Editor of 'The Hindu'

The Editor The Hindu Chennai, India 6th Jan 2008 Dear Sir, I write in reference to an article published on Sunday, Dec 30, 2007 entitled ‘Islamists within ISI may have aided Benazir assassination, analysts fear’ which maliciously tries to link Hizb ut-Tahrir with the assassination of Ms. Benazir Bhutto. The writer quotes in length one of Hizb’s leaflets which was distributed in Islamabad and across all major cities of Pakistan. The article attempts to goad the reader to a baseless hypothesis whereby the reader is forced into thinking that there may exist a link between Hizb ut-Tahrir and Ms. Bhutto’s assassination. The quoted leaflet has absolutely no assertion for violence or any call for militancy, neither implicit nor explicit; rather it only urges the people to boycott the upcoming elections to show their discontent with the current Kufr system and work for the reestablishment of the Islamic system - the Khilafah. Hence quoting this leaflet under the sub-title of ‘Islamist thr...

Butcher of Waziristan meets Butcher of Palestine

Recent reports have reached Pakistan that General Musharraf held a clandestine meeting with Ehud Barak in Paris on 23/1/08. According to a report on a pro-Israeli web-site ynetnews Barak said, “We support your people and back you due to your significance in securing world peace," Barak said. Musharraf placed his hand on Barak's shoulder and replied, "Thank you very much. God willing, I hope you will make progress in the peace process." In fact so eager was Musharraf to strengthen his relationship with Israel that he convened a second meeting which lasted for an hour. With the spilt blood of Muslims as a common platform between the two leaders, it was reported that they discussed Iran and extremism as mutual topics of interest. Over the years Musharraf has tirelessly positioned himself before the Pakistani people as the champion of the Palestinian cause; however, Musharraf like the other rulers of the Muslim world has already abandoned Palestinians in exchange for Isr...

Karzai readily admits to being an American puppet

On 26/1/08 President Hamid Karzai speaking to CNN said, “The US administration has helped Afghanistan and if we are called puppets, or if I am called a puppet because we are grateful to America , then let that be my nickname.” The remark was no slip of the tongue, and Karzai unashamedly poured more praise on his America masters. He said, “Anyway, Americans have helped Afghanistan tremendously…The truth is that without the United States in Afghanistan , Afghanistan would be a very poor, miserable country…” Whilst Karzai’s admission about being an American agent comes as no surprise, his remarks about Afghanistan becoming better under American occupation is a gross distortion of the reality. The truth of the matter is that two-thirds of the country is outside Karzai’ control and the writ of the government does not even extend beyond parts of Kabul . The country is under crusader occupation, the people are destitute and rely on food–hand outs from aid agencies and the greatest s...

Organisations of the Khilafah State - Part 3

The following is part of a series of articles which are based upon extracts from the excellent book by Hizb ut-Tahrir,( أجهزة دولة الخلافة (في الحكم والإدارة (Ajhizat Dawlat al-Khilafah fil hukm wal idara), 'Organisations of the Khilafah State (in ruling and administration)', published in 2005. We will be focussing on those aspects which are eloborations that are not contained in the earlier book 'The Ruling System in Islam' . The beginning of the book mentions that it is issued and adopted by Hizb ut-Tahrir and that it nullifies anything that disagrees with it, this means that there are some updates to the previously adopted views of the party contained within it. These articles are based upon certain draft translations of extracts of the book, for exact meanings and accuracy please refer to the original Arabic. Thirdly: Executive assistants (mu’awin ut-tanfeedh) Mu’awin-un-Tanfeeth is the wazir whom the Khaleefah appoints to be his assistant in the execution, follow u...

Stop the killing of Muslims in the tribal areas at the behest of America

The killing of Muslims at the behest of America must be stopped immediately. The people are aware that America would never want to fight a nuclear Pakistan openly, that is why America wants Pakistan to be weakened through a civil war. Today, the greatest danger to Pakistan is the agent rulers who weaken Pakistan, upon instruction from the enemy. America is given a new lease of life through the daily slaughter of upto thirty to forty Muslims. Was Pakistan ever the victim of such strife before 9-11? Before America's intervention in Pakistan were there suicide attacks, even though jihadi activists and so-called extremists were present previously. So, to call such people the cause of strife is nothing but a falsehood. In fact, this strife is the outcome of Musharraf's senseless policies, under the banner of "Pakistan First." Where is "Pakistan First" when this war is being fought just forty kilometres away from Peshawar and waged against Pakistanis themselves by...

Rise up against the arrival of American troops to Pakistan

O people! Rise up against the arrival of American troops to Pakistan The disclosure of increase in the number of American troops inside Pakistani territory by the senior American military officials is yet another proof of Musharraf treachery. Musharraf, who bowed down in front of America under the guise of “Pakistan comes first”, has severely damaged Pakistan within just six years. Musharraf had not just pushed Pakistan into artificial and self-created crisis of flour, electricity and gas but also seems ready for deployment of American troops inside Pakistan. This was revealed by American Centcom chief Admiral William J. Fallen by stating that “Pakistan army seems to be willing for a broad based relationship with American Army for dealing with insurgency in tribal areas and training of the FC (Frontier Constabulary) from American training centre.” The deployment of American troops under the guise of training of Pakistani troops will seriously jeopardize the security of Pakistan.
