Part 2 - Foundations of the Curriculum in the Khilafah

The following is part of a draft translation of the Arabic book entitled 'Foundations of the Education Curriculum in the Khilafah state' published by Dar al-Ummah (Beirut, Lebanon), 1st Edition, 1425 Hijra—2004 CE. I will be posting sections from the book: 2. EDUCATION POLICY AND ITS ORGANISATION IN THE KHILAFAH STATE The education system in the Khilafah State is composed of the totality of Shari’ah rules and administrative canons related to the education curriculum. The Shari’ah rules related to education emanate from the Islamic ‘aqeedah and they have Shari’ah evidences, such as the subjects of study and separating between male and female students. As for the administrative canons related to education, they are the permitted means and styles which the ruler in authority considers beneficial in implementing the system and achieving its goals. They are worldly matters susceptible to evolution and change according to what appears most suitable to implement the Shari’ah rules rel

Setting up rivals to Allah (swt)

Allah (swt) says: ''And of Humankind are some who take (in obedience), others besides Allah (swt) as rivals (Andaad); they love them as they love Allah (swt). When those who are followed disown those who followed them, and they see their torment. And all their relations will be cut off from them. And those who followed will say, 'If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown them as they have disowned us'. Thus Allah (swt) will show their deeds as regret for them. And they will never be able to get out of the Fire' ' [ Surah al-Baqarah 165-167] On the authority of Imam Bukhhari, 'Abdullah (ra) narrated: ''A man said, 'O Allah's Messenger! Which is the greatest sin in Allah's (swt) sight?' The Prophet (saw) said, 'To set up a rival unto Allah though He alone created you.' The man said, 'What is next?' The Prophet (saw) said, 'To kill your son lest he should share your food with you.

The arabic translation of the article The Khilafah and the Indian Subcontinent is being serialised in Al-Waie Arabic Magazine, the following is part 1 of the translation, it is available on http://www.al-waie.org/issues/242/article.php?id=489_0_38_0_C

The actual cause of the current judicial crises in PK is the non-Islamic constitution

The actual cause of the current judicial crises is the non-Islamic constitution and the lack of implementation of Islam Pakistan’s secular constitution is full of un-Islamic articles. One such example is the article 209 of the constitution under which Musharraf has filed the reference against Chief Justice. The source of this current judicial crisis is also this prevailing system and the constitution, which sidelines the divine Ahkam of Allah (swt) and declares the limited human wisdom to be the source and origin of legislation. Had the Islamic laws relating to judiciary been implemented, no such crises would have erupted. According to the current constitution, a common man has to depend on the consent of the President or the Chief Justice to be able to account and start a judicial proceedings against the judges of Supreme Court and High Courts, who then by their own wishes may or may not send a reference to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) for inquiry. Moreover, the proceedings are

Rizq - In Depth

The following is a draft translation from Arabic. As for the issue of rizq, most of the ayaat, of definite meaning, do not leave any scope for any body that believes in Qur’an but to believe that rizq is in the Hand of Allah, where He gives to whom He wants. The issue of rizq is different from the issue of al-qadar (knowledge of Allah). This is because al-qadar is that Allah knows so and so matter will happen before it happened, so it would have been written and ordained. As for the rizq, it is not only Allah knew so and so person will be given rizq, so the rizq would then be written and ordained, but beside the fact He ordained the rizq is that Allah (swt) is the Razzaq (Sustainer) and not the servant. This is what the ayaat indicated. Allah (swt) says: وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَى “We ask not of you provision. We provide for you, and the end is for taqwa(righteousness).” [Taha: 132] وَكُلُواْ

Foundations of the Curriculum in the Khilafah - Part 1

The following is part of a draft translation of the Arabic book entitled 'Foundations of the Education Curriculum in the Khilafah state' published by Dar al-Ummah (Beirut, Lebanon), 1st Edition, 1425 Hijra—2004 CE. I will be posting sections from the book: FOUNDATIONS OF THE EDUCATION CURRICULUM IN THE KHILAFAH STATE In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful “Read in the name of your Lord who created. Created man from a clinging (clot of blood). Read, and your Lord is most bounteous. Who taught by the pen. Taught man what he knew not.” 1. INTRODUCTION The culture (thaqafa) of any nation is the backbone of its existence and survival. Based on this culture, the Ummah’s civilisation (hadhara) is founded, her goals and objective are defined, and her way of life is discerned. The individuals of the Ummah are moulded by this culture in one melting pot such that the Ummah becomes distinguished from the rest nations. This culture is: The Ummah’s intellectual doctrine (‘aqeedah
