Q&A: The conflict in Lebanon & the splitting of Iraq?

The following is a translation from Arabic. Question: It is being observed that the intensity of the international conflict in Lebanon has somewhat subsided recently, and things are to an extent appearing normal. What are the reasons for this? Does this mean that the French-American conflict in Lebanon has ended and the solution to the problems of Lebanon is moving towards consensus? Answer: To have a proper understanding of the situation, it is important to bear in mind the following: 1-America had been rather fruitlessly wandering in Lebanon for years and especially since the Taif agreement. It was only when the US prompted the Syrian army to move into that it became a serious contender as a major power broker in the country, thanks to the Syrian army’s surrogate role. 2-This was the situation until the assassination of Rafiq Al-Hariri, when Europe and especially president Chirac of France exploited the assassination as a great opportunity to raise local, regional and even internatio

Book published: Introduction to the Systems of Islam

Revival Publications have recently published this book. The Muslim Ummah have been living without the Khilafah (Islamic State) for over seven decades, plagued on the one hand by the domination of the colonialist Western nations, and on the other hand, afflicted by the infiltration of ideas alien to Islam - such as secularism, nationalism and individualism - into the minds of the Ummah. In the place of the Systems of Islam, which were implemented under the banner of a unified Khilafah State for more than 1300 years, giving justice and security to all that lived under it, the world is once again dominated by corruption, poverty and disorder. Indeed, these are the natural result of any way of life that is based on the fragile foundations of man-made laws. Islam is a deen (way of life), encompassing comprehensive guidance for all aspects of human existence, from personal worship to economics and government. The rules and laws which emanate from the Islamic ‘aqeedah (creed) come from none

Tafsir of Surah al-Qadr

The following is from the Tafsir of Ibn Kathir: Which was revealed in Makkah [بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ ] In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily, We have sent it down in the Night of Al-Qadr.) (2. And what will make you know what the Night of Al-Qadr is) (3. The Night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months.) (4. Therein descend the angels and the Ruh by their Lord's permission with every matter.) (5. There is peace until the appearance of dawn.) The Virtues of the Night of Al-Qadr (the Decree) Allah informs that He sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Al-Qadr, and it is a blessed night about which Allah says, [إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـهُ فِى لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَـرَكَةٍ] (We sent it down

The Thinking For Change : Its Reality And Basis

The following is a useful article written by a brother some years ago. The thinking for change is essential in life. It is a thinking that exists inevitably in people and exists by the mere feeling of life alone. It is one the most important types of thinking. The thinking for change, whether it concerns the changing of individuals and their situation, or societies, or the circumstances of peoples and nations, or anything that requires change, involves the change of people in their quality as human beings. Any discussion about the thinking for change must start by determining a view to change itself, and a view to the human being. CHANGE Change is motion (Harakah) and motion is life (Hayat). Stagnation (Jamoud) is death. In fact, life is nothing but a manifestation of growth (Namoo) and motion. Indeed, change is evolution, in that, it aims at the transference of a matter from one situation to another situation. Life, in all its manifestations, is in continuous motion and hence, change.
