"Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah: of them some have died, and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least." [Al-Ahzab: 23]
On 11 September 2006 Hizb ut-Tahrir - Wilayah of Iraq announced the death of one of its youth, carrier of the Dawah, the martyr: “Hikmat Wali Al-Ta’i”
Who was kidnapped on Wednesday 06.09.2006, by the armed gangs which were brought up and nourished under the shade of the occupation, his body was found on 11.09.2006 -with signs of brutal torture on it– in the judicial medical center in Baghdad.
A press release from the Media office of Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Iraq said that in spite of what its members are being exposed to in Iraq and in other countries, from arresting, torture and killing- it will not divert from its goal for which it has been working for more than half a century, which is to resume the Islamic life, by establishing the Khilafah on the path of prophethood, and in the legal method which Prophet Muhammad (saw) had followed, through intellectual debate and political struggle, and away from the materialistic (i.e. violent) deeds.
At the time when our hearts are full of grief and sorrow, we entrust our martyrs to Allah Almighty, he is the best patronage and the best supporter.
May Allah encompass the deceased with his great mercy, and let paradise be his residence, with the prophets, believers, martyrs and pious, who are the best company.
ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم
There is no power or strength except with Allah the sublime and mighty.

I dedicate this poem to the martyr as tears flow from my eyes during and after writing the poem below, please make dua for him and others like him in far away lands and let us strive to emulate them ameen.
The people say “Where are the best of the youth gone “?
We don’t see them in the masjid this Ramadhan
The month of great reward and forgiveness has come
Oh where are the best of the youth gone?
We don’t see them any more
The ones who we used to see in the masjid on the front rows at fajr
And at every every salah
Who used to greet us with the best words and adhab
Helping us when we needed their assistance
Always spoke the word of truth
Accounting and advising the khatibs when they flattered the rulers
No fear of the mukhabarat
Only fearing Allah the lord and master of the day of judgement
The youth who sacrificed their careers and fame in this dunya for the akhira
So gifted academically with everything to live for
The world was their oyster
Those so young in age but so mighty in terms of maturity and the deen
Putting us to shame and bringing tears to our eyes
Oh where have the youth gone, we don’t see them at Terrawih
Although we search for them continuously
Oh Allah help us to find them
For we miss them and their dawah
No one to tell us and guide us from the plots of the kafireen and their agents
We miss them more than our own sons
They were the coolness of our eyes
And now that we know that they have been taken
We feel forsaken and lost
And tears flow from our eyes
Oh Allah help us to be as firm and determined as they were
To carry the haqq
No looking back
Until we establish the Al Raya firmly on this earth
And in the land of Iraq
The former seat of the Khilafah
Once so long ago
Oh Allah we know where the best of the youth have gone
Back to their creator
Free from worry and pain
Sitting in the best company
Of the righteous and pious
And in the gardens of paradise
Being recompensed for their sacrifice and pain on this wretched earth
Ameen
