When the Authority of the State is Absent, Lives are Lost and the Forbidden Blood is Spilled!

Press Release

(Translated)
We followed with deep sadness and sorrow the fighting between the Hamar and Kababish tribes in Kordofan; this is the great crime in which forbidden blood was spilled, and lives were lost from fighting on a tribal basis.
In a statement to the newspapers, a member of the Parliament of the West Kordofan pointed to the knowledge of the President of the Republic of this news of the events since March 29th, when twenty people were killed, but the state did not send any troops to separate and pursue the criminals; therefore, the bloody events were repeated again, and it spread to both provinces of West and North Kordofan.
Based on the above, we in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan highlight the following:
First: Islam forbade the killing of the soul without right, Allah (swt) says:
﴿وَلا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلا بِالْحَقِّ
“And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right” [Al-Isra’: 33]
Allah has warned the Muslims from killing each other, the Prophet (saw) said in the Last Khutbah: «وَيْلَكُمْ لا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ» “Woe to you! Do not turn back into disbelievers after I am gone, striking one another’s necks.”
And he (saw) said: «إِذَا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ» “If two Muslims meet with their swords, the murderer and the murdered man are in the Fire”.
Secondly: Islam warned Muslims against taking pride of tribal connections, and reprimanded those who call for it and mobilize people on that basis. The Prophet (saw) said: «مَنْ دَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَهُوَ مِنْ جُثَا جَهَنَّمَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ صَامَ وَصَلَّى قَالَ وَإِنْ صَامَ وَصَلَّى وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ مُسْلِمٌ». “Whoever calls for ignorance (Jahiliya) he is from those who kneel in Hell. They said O Messenger of Allah even if he fasts and prays, He (saw) said: Even if he fasts and prays and claims that he is a Muslim.”
He (saw) said: «دَعُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا مُنْتِنَةٌ» “Leave it, for it is rotten.”
Thirdly: Islam commands Muslims in case of disagreement between them to refer the disputed matter to Allah and His Messenger (saw): to remove the dispute and find the solution and treatment, and made it a sign of Iman. Allah (swt) said:
O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.” [An-Nisa’: 59]
Fourthly: The Government of the Sudan bears responsibility for this forbidden blood that has been shed. The state has repeatedly failed to deal with such incidents. It does not care about the matter from its start, so that more blood is shed and the news is broadcast and reported in the media. Islam has made it mandatory on the state to carry its duty to take care of the affairs of the people, and protect them, and provide security for them. Rather, Islam considers it as the highest obligation of the ruler's duties. The Prophet (saw) said: «الإِمَامُ رَاعٍ وَمَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ» “The imam is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.”
This responsibility requires the state to protect the blood of the people before the fighting takes place. It preserves security with its prestige, punishes the aggressor harshly and carries out the deterrent Shari’ punishment against him. There is no intercession accepted by anyone, even if it was the tribe.
Fifthly: This would not have happened if the Muslims had a state; the righteous Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood, in which the ruler would be a shepherd and its ruling would be a trust not a "cake”!!
In conclusion, we in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan call upon the fighters, as ordered by Allah, to fear Allah in themselves and remember the brotherhood of Iman, which brings them together, and to stop fighting, and hold the criminal aggressor accountable and not to cover up for him, Allah (swt) says:
﴿إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
“The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy” [Al-Hujurat: 10]
We also call upon them to deprive the opportunity to the warlords and policy brokers, they do not hesitate to trade in such issues for their livelihood. We also call them to block the way infront of the colonial enemies who exploit such events to intervene in the affairs of the country and the people and ignite them to achieve their despicable colonial interests. Allah (swt) says:
And brought together their hearts. “If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise” [Al-Anfal: 63]

An advice to Muslims working in the financial sector

Assalam wa alaikum wa rahmatullah wabarakatahu, Dear Brothers & Sisters, We are saddened to see Muslims today even those who practise many of the rules of Islam are working in jobs which involve haram in the financial sector. They are working in positions which involve usurious (Riba) transactions, insurance, the stock market and the like. Even though many of the clear evidences regarding the severity of the sin of Riba are known, some have justified their job to themselves thinking that they are safe as long as they are not engaged in the actual action of taking or giving Riba. Brothers & Sisters, You should know that the majority of jobs in the financial sector, even the IT jobs in this area are haram (prohibited) as they involve the processing of prohibited contracts. If you work in this sector, do not justify your job to yourself because of the fear of losing your position or having to change your career, fear Allah as he should be feared and consider ...

Authenticity of ahadith on tall buildings in Makkah?

Question Are these   ḥadith  sound? Are the references provided correct and accurate? When you see the belly of Makkah will be cleft open and through it will be dug out river-like passages (i.e. tunnels) (or water in the road to Makkah), and you see the buildings surpass its mountains, then take care (or beware, or a variant has: then know that the matter is at hand, or then understand that the time of trial (Judgment day) is near at hand). [Narrated by Al-Azraqi in the Book of reports about Makkah – Kitab Akhbaar Makkah, Hadiyth-1725; A specific Hadiyth (in fact several related-Hadiyths) which prophesizes about this Tower. Itha ra’aitun mecca bu’ijat katha’ima, wa ya-tasawa bunyanuha ru’usa jibaliha, faqad athalati as-Sa’atu. When you see Mecca, its mountain with holes (pierced through them), and its buildings reach its mountain tops, then as-Sa’ah (the Hour) has already cast its shadow. [Suyuti] So when you see in Makkah that channels have already been dug (or tunnels b...

The Shariah rules relating to mixing between the sexes

In Islam, the basic principle of the interaction between men and women is segregation. This means that in all areas of life and in all places whether private or public, contact between men and women is generally prohibited. Many evidences establish the principle of not mixing between the sexes, and there are many ahadith which clarify that this is the case in both public and private areas: Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah said: "The best rows for the men are the first rows and the worst rows for them are the last rows. The best rows for the women are the last rows and the worst for them are the front rows." The last rows are the best for the women because they are farther away from the men as against the first rows that are nearest to men's rows. [This is related by the group except al-Bukhari]  In Abu Dawud, p.284, Hadith No. 4931, it is narrated upon the authority of Aisha (ra) that she said: "I used to play with my friends and whenever the P...
